The new Youth Villages Administration Building is a 17,000 SF facility that provides staff and employees with a much needed place to work, train, and collaborate.
The building acts as a new front door to the campus. Nestled below the winding entry road, the Administration Building reaches upward with its welcoming wood soffits and provides visitors and employees with a sense of arrival.
Students and their parents check in at the front desk, while staff and employees occupy the majority of the building. Gracious covered porches, and large expanses of glass connect the occupant to the wooded outdoors.
The Administration Building was completed in 2024 as part of Phase 1 of the campus master plan. The next two phases are currently in design.
The Eastern is a 2,200 capacity music venue located in the Reynoldstown neighborhood of Atlanta. The tiered concrete and steel structure ascends out of a compressed footprint. Mezzanines and balconies bend in relation to the stage, creating optimal sight lines and an up-close & personal experience. The Eastern feels like a large rock venue, and an intimate room at the same time.
The venue boasts a rooftop with a stage and a bar. It can host a separate 400 person concert, or operate as an extension of the main venue.
Allen Post functioned as Project Manager and Chris Loyal was a Project Architect for The Eastern while at Perkins + Will. The Eastern has been extremely well-received by fans and musicians.

Phase 2 which consists of the music venue, a ground up office building, and the last phase of housing is still under construction.
The original Atlanta Dairies building is located on Memorial Drive a block away from the beltline was built in the 1940’s had been abandoned for many years when our client, Paces Properties, purchased the building. Other than the distinctive Streamline Modern curved corner which faces Memorial Drive, the remnants of the building which stood out was the manufacturing infrastructure from the dairy operations. The large steel catwalk, which was salvaged and incorporate into the new design, became the inspiration and driver for the project. The original dairies building was preserved and we added a new wing and second floor additions to increase the retail and office space for the development. Allen Post was the Project Manager and completed this project while working at Perkins + Will.
This extension of a mid-century bungalow uses steel and glass to take full advantage of a verdant site near Midtown Atlanta. 22 linear feet of window wall allows the new Living Room and Office to feel as if they are positioned outside under the tree canopies. Exposed I-Beams and tightly spaced board-and-batten cladding help delineate the contemporary addition from the footprint of the existing structure.
